work experience

Work Experience at Ouseburn Farm is for anyone aged 14-16 looking to gain experience in farming, animal care, horticulture and/or adult social care. We have two work experience slots available this year - see below for more details.

 

Work experience applications for Summer 2024 are now CLOSED.  Interviews are planned to take place on Wednesday 10th April 2024.
 

Option 1 - Farming, Small Animals and Horticulture


You will gain experience in all areas of farm work ranging from Livestock, Small Animal Care and Gardening. This week is for students who would like to get into Animal Care and/or Horticulture related roles.

Option 2 - Care Farming
You will gain experience working in our ‘Care Farm’ environment, working alongside our Placement Team supporting our Adult Placements who have Learning Disabilities, Difficulties and Autism in their workshops around the farm. This week would be catered more to people who would like to get into Health and Social Care.
