For more than half a century, Ouseburn Farm has brought people, animals and nature together in the heart of Newcastle. It’s a place where families make memories, people discover new skills and friendships grow.

As a charity, we help people connect with nature and each other. From caring for our animals and green spaces to supporting people with learning disabilities and autism through our Placement Programme, life at the Farm creates opportunities to learn, build confidence and feel a sense of belonging.

Leaving a gift in your will or giving in someone’s memory is a special way to support this work and help the Farm be here for generations to come.

Leave a gift in your will

If Ouseburn Farm has a special place in your heart, remembering us in your will could help keep it part of our community’s future.

Your gift could help us care for our animals, nurture our growing spaces and continue providing a welcoming place for people to spend time, learn and connect.

For parents, carers and families of people on our Placement Programme, that connection may be especially meaningful. You may have seen the pride that comes with learning a skill, the joy of a new friendship or the confidence that grows from being part of the team. A gift in your will could help others experience those same opportunities in years to come.

We understand that looking after your loved ones comes first. If you feel able to remember the Farm too, whatever the size of your gift, we would be honoured.

How to leave a gift

You can include Ouseburn Farm when writing a new will or updating an existing one. A solicitor can explain your options and help you record your wishes.

If you would like to talk about leaving a gift, please email jennifer.urwin@ouseburnfarm.org.uk

We can answer questions about our work and provide the charity details your solicitor will need.

There is no pressure or obligation.

For information about free and reduced-cost will-writing options, visit MoneySavingExpert’s guide to writing a will. Eligibility and availability vary, and some schemes invite a charitable donation.

Give in memory of someone special

A gift in memory can be a lovely way to remember someone and support a cause they cared about.

Perhaps they enjoyed visiting the animals, spent happy afternoons here with family or valued the opportunities the Farm gives people. A donation in their name can celebrate that connection while helping others make memories of their own.

There is no right time or single way to remember someone. You might choose to make a personal donation, invite donations instead of flowers at a funeral, arrange a collection with friends and family, or mark a birthday or anniversary.

If you would like to give in memory or organise a collection, please email jennifer.urwin@ouseburnfarm.org.uk. We can explain how to pass donations to the Farm and answer any questions, at your own pace.

And if you would like to tell us about the person you are remembering, we would be honoured to hear about them.
